need help with this one

    i posted this coin on another thread, and someone asked "what's going on above the ES?"

    i don't have a clue to errors, so i took some new pics to get some opinions. is it lamination, die crack, or post-mint?

    Just looks like a minor planchet flaw.

    No problem. The farther you get back into American coins the less the quality of the minting and planchets gets. Today a blank that would be rejected would be struck back then if there was a minor flaw.
