ok it more than likely a die crack, my 2001 penny has a die crack tha makes the D look like a small b, die crack comes off the top of the D in a perfect strait line which makes the D look like a b, easely veiwable by the naked eye, any ideas on the value of this penny
Hi ronster More often than not an anomoly within the field that does not involve the rim of the coin will be a die scratch or gouge, or a delamination of the clad layer on the newer coins, most do not add any significant value to the coin. Rick
