One of my co-workers gave me about 200 notes from Germany, Austria, France, and Italy. Most of the notes are German. A lot of notgelds. She asked for my help in determining if there is any value. Her father recently passed away and these were handed down by her grandfather. Her mother is not well off finacialy and I want to her her in disposing of these notes. There is not a lot of duplication so it seems her grandfather had more of a disorganized collection than an accumulation. There are several 10 to 75 pfennig notes including a lot of notgeld from all over. The German marks range from 1 to 500,000,000. Wow, hyperinflation. I am way over my head on the notes. I will have to find a publication on the notgelds or find a good reference source on the net. Some of the research I did last night show some of the notes as having some real value. I need some advice on how to help her maximize the sale of the notes. I know very little about that area. I have scanned the notes to PDF. If anyone out there is a collector of these, sent me a pm and I will send you the file, or post some of the scans. These notes are from the early 1900s. Most between 1909 and 1945. I am afraid to send her to a dealer unprepared. The coins I can deal with. She has a full set of Third Reigh in 1-50 pfennig and several from Belgiun, France, and Italy. Almost all are very low value. Only 4 minor silver coins.

Thanks for any and all help.

Good price on these notes since none of them stood out as being worth a lot of money. The Notgeld was worth the most compared to the Republic notes though.
