Can anyone help me with the French denominations of the 1700s. I know there were ecu's and its fractions. What were the copper demominations? I have ordered the Krause 1701-1800 but it has not arrived yet.

This is French monetary system at 1700-1789. From low to high face value.
    - 2 deniers (copper coin).
    - liard (copper coin). One liard = 3 deniers.
    - 4 deniers (copper).
    - 6 deniers (copper). A coins with such face value were released during the reing of the king Louis XIV (1643-1715). After his death these coins weren't released as "6 deniers" but were released as 1/2 sol.
This is 1/2 sol 1720 from the king Louis XV (1715-1774). This coin was equal to 6 deniers.

During the French Revolution a coins with face value "12 deniers" were released. Moreover! Franch monarchy was abolished at 1792 and the king Louis XVI was executed at January 1793 - but a coins with his portrait were released at 1793 too!

    This is 12 deniers 1793.

    - 5 sols (silver .798, weight - 1,696 g.). Such coin was equal to 60 deniers or 1/16 ecu. 5 sols were released during the reign of the king Louis XIV (1643-1715) at 1702-1704.

    This is 5 sols 1703.

    - 6 sols (silver .917, weight - 1,529 g.). First release was at 1716. It is strange but 6 sols of the king Louis XV was equal to 1/20 ecu, but 5 sols of the king Louis XIV was equal to 1/16 ecu. Since the 1726 the weight of 6-sols coin was 1,474 g. only. The last release was at 1783 during the reign of the king Louis XVI.
    - 10 sols (silver .798, weight - 3,392 g.). Was equal to 1/8 ecu. The first release was at 1704 and the last release - at 1719. But during the French Revolution (at 1792) a silver tokens with such face value were released.
10 sols is a strange coin: different Mints released such coins with a different weight. For example - 10 sols of Metz Mint weighed 3,392 g., but 10 sols of Paris Mint - 3,263 g. only.
Moreover! Since the 1710 Strassburg Mint released 10-sols coins with the weight 3,098 g. only. During the reign of the king Louis XV (1715-1774) the weight of 10-sols coins was reduced to 2,04 grams, thus, content of silver was increased to the .917 (such coins were circulated in Navarre and Bearn).

    - 12 sols (silver .917, weight - 3,059 g.). Was equal to 1/10 ecu. At the same time, 12-sols coins for an appeal in Navarre weighed 2,447 g., only. But since 1718 until 1726 the weight of such coins was 2,447 g. (for an appeal in a whole France). Since 1726 10-sols coins weighed 2,948 g. The last release was at 1790.

    - 15 sols (silver .917, weight - 2,948 g.). The first release was at 1725. 15 sols was equal to 1/8 ecu (as 10 sols too). The secret was simple: 10 sols (silver .798, weight from 3,392 to 3,098 g.) - the silver content was lower but the weight was more. During the french Revolution such coins were released in another weight and silver content (silver .666, weight - 5 g.).

    - 20 sols or 1/6 ecu (silver .917, weight - 4,079 g.). The first release was at 1719 and the last release was at 1792 during the French Revolution (as tokens).

-24 sols or 1/5 ecu (silver .917, weight - 5,585 g.). The first release was at 1726. The last release was at 1790. During the reign of the king Louis XVI (1774-1792) the weight of 24-sols coins was 5,835 g.

    - 30 sols or 1/4 ecu (silver .917, weight - 7,648 g.). This weight was until the 1718; sinse the 1718 the weight was 6118 g., and at 1725 - 5,895 g. only. The last release was at 1725. During the French Revolution a coins with such face value was released again (weight - 10 g., silver .666).

    - 1/2 ecu (silver .917, weight - 13,544 g.). This coin was equal to 43 sols. At the same time, at 1709-1714 the weight of such coins was 12,392 g. and a silver content - .833 only (it is interesting fact: such coins with low silver content was equal to 44 sols).
Since 1714 to 1718 the weight of 1/2 ecu was 15,296 g., and silver content was .917. Since the 1718 the weight was 12,237 g., and silver content was .833 again. 1725's release: silver .917, weight - 11,79 g. But since 1726 until 1791 the weight was 14,744 g., silver .917.
