I just came across this one a right away noticed something about it. It seems, to me that the IGWT, appears to be doubled. I looked on coppercoins and the is only seen one that had doubling on that motto. It shows on coppercoins that it's CW doubling. Though mine, it looks like the doubling is more North. The coin is worn so it's making it difficult to study, at least for me. First I noticed was the N, you can clearly see three different areas on the first horizontal bar. The first one is a little area that is going to the right, then you see one that is even where the letters should start, then you see the third are that's much higher up. It looks like the top of the the all letters are extra thick.
That's a nice find. I cant help you with it, but I can tell you it is nice. I like the old worn look, I always wonder where all the coin has been. What it has witnessed. Some coins I have are real fuggly and worn down, but that what makes them special. Atleast for me.
It looks like there's a line on the bottom of the letters G, O and D that follow the contour of the letters. The S also looks like thick on the top of the S and the middle looks skinny, like the the example on coppercoins.
I'm not saying it's a doubled die but thanks anyway. I like the old worn coins but prefer the VF to AU coins. Especially looking for DD on old worn coins is hard, for me that is. Heck, it's hard for me to identify a DD on a coin that's on excellent condition.
If not, what's that part at the bottom of the N, on both the legs that sticking out? Did you see the middle leg in the E? It has an extra bar.
Here are more pictures. My question about the N, PMD would not give the turn on the bottom tip of the N on both legs. Looking at the picture, the are going SE. A hit that hard would wipe that letter away. The the E, sorry about the pics, but you can see an extension on the middle bar.
