I was sorting out my 7 year old grand daughter's Lincoln memorial cent, I notice the 1982 seem to be a small date, compared it to some pictures I found online. I don't have a scale to weigh it. If it is a small date, can someone guess at what the grade might be and if it's worth getting it graded and what it might be worth before I pass this on to her.

Yes, it's a small date; no, it's not worth having graded. Value? Barely above face value. An MS-65, in a price guide with inflated retail prices, is 85 cents. This is nowhere near an MS-65 example.

Before you spend money to have coins graded, maybe you should learn how to grade coins.

    Agree with both posts above.

Very common cent of which there are millions and million floating around in pocket change.

Thanks for the input, I will put it in a air tite capsule and return it to my grand daughter.

If you ever get around to coin shows at all, you should be able to find 7-coin sets of all 1982 cents quite cheap, and all red BU.
