    Welcome,
Worth keeping for awhile and getting more involved in collecting others if you want. As far as the Mercury dimes, one of my favorite coins, the top dog is a 1916-D, if you have that date then you can see good money. As far as your Washington silver quarters the key date for those would be a 1932-D, an S mint mark is good too but not as good as a D. The walking liberty half dollars the key date would be a 1921, if I am wrong someone will correct me. :thumb:

Your 1902 Indian Head cent is 3.11g of bronze, worth a buck or so.

The rest of your coins are .900 silver.
    • 2.5g dimes
    • 6.25g quarters
    • 12.5g halves
    .

I'm no expert on US coinage, but I don't think any of your coins have any particularly special dates, so at today's silver price (~$17.45/oz.) just figure their bullion value as about 12.5 x face. Expect to get a little less than that if you're selling to a dealer.

    $50+ ain't a bad "find".

    Nicer than average Half Dollar

Is that a 1943 half dollar which is in nice condition? They were pretty coins. You may be picking up that in coin collecting CONDITION is everything. Your 1942 Dime if you carefully examine the date, is it clear or does it perhaps have the 2 punched on top of a one. Yes? You've got something worth while. No? Keep looking.

At today's silver prices each half is worth around 6.25 in silver. Dimes are about 1.25 and quarters are around 3.15.

The heavily worn silver is worth sending to the melting pot and a lot of it is seeing that fate. Everyone which goes makes the survivors that much scarcer.

Check the 1942 dimes for a trace of a one underneath the two. The 1942 over 1941 dime is quite valuable. There was a recent thread here on CT, where a 1942/1 was sold to a dealer for melt value. You never know.
