Need Help Identifying Unknown Coin

    A friend of mine found this coin while mowing their lawn.
    Does anyone know what type of coin this is?

    Very interesting. It is difficult to make out in the small, one-sided picture, but it appears to be a (probable replica of) a Renaissance-era gold coin; Spanish or Italian, circa 1500s. Better, full-sized pictures of both sides would help.

    Yes it's a modern replica, I picked one of these up in a bulk lot last year.

    I figured that HAD to be a replica.

    But it also must've been a real adrenaline rush for the person who found it like that!
