Hello! I please of identifycation of my prutah. The coin is probably Hasmonean. The weight is 1.72g. The links to my coin: http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/418bf961343164e6.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/e4a73b1ea7b14af3.html Thank You!!! Regards Michal
This one is kinda hard to tell because of the wear on the reverse or maybe it's just a fuzzy pic. But if I had to guess I'de say it was either a Barbarour Bronze Prutah from the Hasmonaean dynasty dating around 103-76 BC...or possibly a John Aristobulus II dating back to 67-64 BC. The double cornucopia with the pomegranate in between them is very prominent on this coin but as I was saying the reverse of the coin has some wear and is hard to make out from the pic. I hope this helps a little and might point you in the right direction for further research. I'm sure that having it in your hand you could make a better call than I could from just looking at a few pics online. If you run a search on the two coins mentioned I bet you would find what you're looking for. I have some Judaic prutahs in my collection too but only a few so I kinda have an idea on how to ID them. If you can take a more detailed pic on the reverse of this coin I may be able to narrow it down further. Very nice coin!!!
Thanks! Thank You very much! They are links to some of photos of my prutah. The photos I make with magnifying glass and they may be not of good quality. http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/0adce833f355f7c5.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/b503c289286a08e2.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/93dfe844db068966.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/d94ee79bf8400f15.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/417f78d1b943a339.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/f3ee2c7b8a44050f.html http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/418bf961343164e6.html One more thank You very much!
