Received this and a couple other unidentifiables in an old coin lot, I have no expertise in ancient coins however these seemed to have enough detail to determine what it is. Any info is greatly appreciated- DAJ
Late Roman Empire bronze coins, c.300-400 AD. They appear genuine but in very low grade. There are some other members here who specialize in that time period who may be able to narrow it down further, they should be along soon.
Looks like you´ve got a Licinius I and a Valentinian I. You can search on tesorillo, wildwinds or acsearch.
I concur - the Licinius is a "SOLI INVICTO COMITI" follis dating to the "3-teens" (313-319 AD or thereabouts) and the Valentinan I is a "GLORIA ROMANORVM" Centenionalis, ca. 364-375 AD. Unfortunately the exergual mintmarks (below the "ground" line on the reverse) are off-flan on both of these so it's not immediately (if at all) possible to say which mint issued them. Both are common, in general, and has been noted, they are more of a curiosity or keepsake in this condition - but they are 99.99% likely to be authentic, at least.
These are somewhat clearer examples to show you what your coins looked like at one time - neither of your coins are likely to be from the same mints which is why there are field marks, etc, on these you don't see on yours: http://www.stoa.org/gallery/album82/A_06_SisV1_GloRom3?full=1
