1938 reverse.jpg 1938 oberse.jpg I just found this penny, although not in the best condition but it clearly states the year 1938 (no mint markings) and the reverse side is the Lincoln Memorial, when it should be a wheat penny. I have never heard this before can someone shed some light if in fact it is an error.

    Thanks....

so basically the bottom portion of the 7 was somehow pushed and makes it look like a 3?

It is a parking lot coin. It has been run over by cars causing the damage you see. I would spend it.
