Is this a 1941 S Large Mint Mark variety or just a normal mintmark. The CPG's photos dont seem to be helping me with this one?

That's a normal mintmark. The large ones either have the knob lower serif (no pointy bottom) or the triangle lower serif (pointy on top and flat on bottom).

I agree - small "S". Try comparing yours to an "S" to those on quarters from 46-51. They have the trumpet tailed "S", although some of the 41-S's may have a pointed lower serif like the previous poster noted. BTW, I don't suggest comparing yours to the 42-45 quarters or those after 51, since those years have multiple mint mark styles and it may just confuse the issue.
