I would reach out to SteveP on the Ikegroup with your questions. He has a lot of info on Peg Legs and would be the best person I can think of to help you with this.

I have no idea what you are asking so will only address the "abrasion" on the Eagles Head.

This abrasion is caused from the mint packaging process used to package up the US Mint Sets. It's common and what I use to determine if a coin roll is an original bank roll or a put together roll.

It is grade debilitating but on occasion can slip through. I've seen 1974 IKEs graded MS66 that had this abrasion.

Typically, for the Eisenhower Dollar in Mint Sets, the abrasion is on the Eagles Head and the leading edges of the wings. Occasionally, it appears in IKEs hair on the obverse.

For Kennedy Half Dollars, the abrasion appears again on the Eagles Head and again, it is grade limiting.

From what I understand, the 1974 business strikes don't have any varieties acknowledged by DIVA.

I learned something new today. Thanks enochian. :)
A curiosity on that article... there's a typo in the definitions for DIVA. It says bus strike and proofs are B & S, respectively... where I'm fairly certain they meant B&P.

Reminds me of my high school calculus instructor: "You learn something new EVERY day if you don't watch out."
