Need Canadian help with 1939 visit medal

    I cant seem to find information on this medal.

    There are no silver markings so I cant be sure if it is. Most of the time I can spot medals right away but this one bothers me.

    Any information would be very much appriciated :)

    Apparently, there were different sizes for different metals. It's listed in the second link above.

    The brass/bronze (what alloy) ones were given out to every elementary aged child in 1939 when the visit occurred. I know some guys that got them then. There were some others made in silver and gold, as well as a few sizes. They are (the smaller bronze ones) plentiful up here on walks down the Canadian bourses or shops for a few bucks each. The silver and above one are worth what they can get .. not too many made.

    What I wasnt getting was it felt like it wasnt silver, But now I know it is :) I'm keeping this one it´s a good looking design on the back
