Need an opinion about my denarius

    I have this coin, a denarius of Trajano, i like It alot, but did It suffered improper cleaning or was ruined or its Just a Fine Coin?
    Most people o asked Said its Fine.

    Improper cleaning has a WHOLE different meaning for ancients. Nice coin, would love to own it.

    It doesn’t look bad. In fact, it looks quite decent.

    Since you capitalized the word “Fine” (indicating the grade), I will say that this coin appears better than a Fine. It is at least a VF (Very Fine), if not VF+ (gVF, or “good VF”). I’m not sure it’s quite XF (Extremely Fine), but it’s close. These Trajan denarii had wonderful high-relief portraits, and look at how much of Trajan’s hair details are still present on your coin.

    There’s nothing wrong with it, as far as I can tell. Enjoy it!

    Looks like cabinet friction, the eye gets drawn to it since the protected areas are toned. Still a nice coin at a decent grade however.
