I just received a 2016 D NPS 50c piece and it has some slight dings on the edge. Is this likely to grade a 70? The pic is not great but look for rough edge on the bottom.
I'll bet if there are dings on the edge there is at least one ding on the coin. Edge does not show in the slab but dings on the rim may. Do you know the difference between edge and rim? Photo it out of the case.
@Vespadoctor1 Like @Insider said, you need to take it out of the plastic for photos. You need to take images of BOTH sides from directly overhead. Like others said, if so much as one ding is detected by the graders, you can kiss a 70 goodbye. Chris
...and this is NO CRITICISM of anything posted...just the plain truth: There are plenty of coins graded as 70's in TPGS slabs that have marks or spots that are not "true" 70's as per the grading standards.
