$2 coin. Too bad about the rim hit at 6 o'clock. There were 1000 mils in a Palestinian pound. The Palestine pound was equal in value to the British pound.
kfprincy. Some of us would be more than happy to advise you about your Palestine coin. But, first of all, why not let us know what you want answers to ?
Palestine was a c mandate from 1923 to 1948. Under Turkish rule, Turkish coins circulated as did French, Egyptian and British coins. In 1923 Egyptian coins were made legal tender in Palestine up until 1927 when the British minted (in London) 1 mill, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 mill coins, the last two being silver coins. Five million 2 mills were produced with the 1927 date.
kfprincy. Probably, you've had an answer, from Bardolph, that many do exist, the figure of 5 million mentioned. But, as I see it, part of the fun of this hobby is doing some research, and sharing it with others. If you lie back, on your couch, and wait to be waited on, like a Roman Caesar waiting for grapes, that isn't what it's all about. There has to be give and take - none of us are Roman Caesars, expecting everything handed to us on a plate.
