Hello, I have a 1914 red seal $5 bill that to me looks in perfect uncirculated condition. I have pics of it but being new to this (or any) forum I'm not sure how to attach the pics and they are large to better see the image... I can email the pics or post them if someone can let me know what would be better. I'd like to know what the value of the bill is please. Thank you.
if the images are too large to be posted to the forum, photobucket is a great place to upload images ... and then just post the link to the image here in this thread. Also, there is a sticky about how to post images to the forum (i just dont know which forum board the sticky is stuck to.
Need advice on 1914 red seal $5 Here's the pics ( I hope ) of the $5. I'm going to just try and attach it...
i would say from the pictures. $1200-1500. maybe more to the right person. i would need to see the back and maybe a better pic of the front. if you have a scanner that is the best way to get good pics. you might think about getting it graded. very nice note:thumb:
What you appear to have is a Fr 833A Red Seal $5 signed by Burke/MacAdoo The note in CHCU63 will go for 2000.00 maybe a little more. I do see a little foxing or light water stain in the lower right hand corner as well as uneven margins with the note appearing being some what askew on the paper, or perhaps it is the way the image was taken. It is difficult to tell from scans because one can not tell about the embossing looking at a scan. Please show images of the reverse so we can see that as well. RickieB
That is a great looking note!!! :eat: I might suggest posting the full image of each side on a site like Photobucket and pasting the links here in a new post. The yellowing in the image here may be from you compressing the file to try to get it to fit on this site. Would love to see both side without any changes to the file size. I think the other two have given you a good ball park figure but seeing the reverse would help. Best Regards ~ Darryl
Ok... Hello all! Inbetween working and the superbowl I've done some research to try to find out more so I can describe the bills to you better. I've gone to Photobucket and posted them there - here's the URL - http://s731.photobucket.com/albums/ww313/mprzsmith/Currency%20for%20CoinTalk/ I hope this helps. I'm also posting this in "What's it Worth" as recommended. I'll be checking this more there than here now. Thanks for your help! Mich
