found this coin the other day its about an eighth of an inch thick looks to be copper not for sure thanx for all your help Dave
Hi sgnhntr and welcome to the forum. I'd be glad to look it up in the Standard Catalog of World Coins if I could see any details of the design or legends, and if it's a coin. If you can't lighten your pictures up, at least describe the designs on both sides, and quote all legends. From what I can see, it may be a medal or token of some type, but knowing the legends would go a long way toward an ID.
My guess would be one of the Indian States' coins, pre 1800. Try asking at the South Asia Coin Group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/southasia-coins/
