I found this coin 4 years ago and have not been able to find one like it. Could someone help me figure it out and about how much it might be worth. On the edge of the coin where the suns rays are there seems to be an extra ray of sunshine coming off the edge of the coin at a slightly different angle. Any help would be great.

I believe it to be a minor minting error worth a fraction over face value.

It might be a die gouge.

Too late! Mr. Mallis passed away quite a while ago.

I've got an idea! If someone has the initials U A T, we can call them SQUAT's.

It could well be a gouge. If it was cracked, you might be able to follow the progression of the crack but MY! What a pile of quarters one would have to look at!

    Looks like a die gouge.
