Now you've got me wondering whether I could trick one of those "souvenir cent squashers" into pressing wire into a coin...
Not just wire, but braided copper wire. Incredibly interesting piece, @Insider. Please share, what do you know about this piece? The style appears to be antiquated, but due to the issuer I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it was designed to appear older than it actually is. I'm assuming it is the ANA program, and not some die-engraving class in Florence, Italy.
Evan Saltis, asked: "Please share, what do you know about this piece?" It was made for my teaching set.
Florence Schook Kind of hard to see the K with the wire. https://www.coinbooks.org/esylum_v09n19a07.html
