    Sometimes their work is amazing (like in this case).

    It looks like they may have scratched this coin. In the "After" photo I see a scratch above the eagle's beak that does not appear in the "Before" photo.

    could be a hair or other fiber too..

    but yes, they did do a marvelous job on this coin. I often wonder just what do they do to get those results ....

    Gold spray paint. It's not so good on copper coins though...

    I dunno... Looks pretty Dang good to me,, But I agree that scratch wasnt there before

    Simply the result of the tilt/angle the light (looks like a regular 100 watt bulb) is shown at. While the tar/stains were removed. Every scratch and abrasion you see is still there. Just take the marks from the 1st pic and overlay them onto the 2nd pic and that's what the coins surface will look like at a minimum.

    Look at the before pic with 4x magnifying glass - the scratch is there. It's just hidden under the gunk, but it is visible.
