Hi all, just went to my first coin show and thought I would share. Today I went to the annual azalea festival coin show, and overall I was very pleased. They had a "kids corner" for YNs, complete with games, coin trivia, and coin related prizes for all collectors under 17. Here are some of the prizes I received.
    Coin trading cards.

    1898 Indian head cent.

    1943 Australian penny.

2011 uncirculated cent and blank planchet.

They also had albums, folders, uncirculated state quarters, uncirculated 2005 Jefferson nickels and coin guides.

As for the actual show, the show had some good stuff too.
First, I cherrypicked a 1921 MS61 IGC slabbed Morgan dollar that turned out to have some denticle impressions below the tail feathers. I paid $33 for it and later that day was offered $50 by a dealer.
Unfortunately, my pictures are not clear enough to see the denticle impressions, but I will try to get clearer ones later.

Later in the day I bought some steel wheat cents and a mint bag for 0.25¢.
I guess they were just trying to get rid of them.
The one in the middle appears to be uncirculated.

    to be continued...

Funny thing.......I never knew azaleas grew in the wild. Love the shrub. :)

There's always a first time and I'm glad your experience was a positive one. Nice stuff too.......:)

I also purchased a 1922 peace dollar that appears to be in great condition.
    I paid $20 for it.

The next thing I bought was some assorted foreign coins that I paid 25¢ each for

And last but not least, two barber dimes and a 1916 Mercury dime that I paid $1.20 each for.

Unfortunately the merc is not a D, I checked but still cool.
Overall it was a pretty good experience, and I will definitely go again next year.

Looks like you had a blast and picked up some good coins. Did you sell the Morgan?

Nah, I decided that I would do a little more research before selling it. The coin show is still going on tomorrow, so I can decide then. Is $50 a good price?
