I just finished taking the survey about new possible U.S. Mint products. Nothing much else to do on a dreary, rainy day. Have any of you participated yet or just not going to bother. It only took about 10 minutes. I'm not interested in any type of gold products but I did vote yes for the Peace & Morgan dollars which would be nice plus fairly affordable, depending upon what the price finally ends up being. Your thoughts?
Virtually any website service or product I purchase sends me a survey link. I often include comments in these web surveys that are worthy of a response but have never received one. I have rather come to regard these things as something that little regard is given to. I may be all wrong but I have become rather jaded to all internet surveys.
I usually do not participate in most surveys. But this one was commissioned by the U.S. Mint so I thought it important enough being a collector. I think the Mint is doing the right thing here considering all of the flack they have been receiving over limited sales items, producing items that end up being a flop, etc.
I agree, I just completed the survey myself. I'm probably not the best subject, though. I don't spend a lot on modern mint products any more, even though I've been a customer for over 30 years.
I agree @tommyc03. The Mint is doing the right thing in soliciting advice from collectors. That said, developing and sending a survey is simple. The really hard part will be figuring out what, if anything, they do with the advice they receive. Time will tell.
Me too but i told them that i'm not interested in other stuff because its overpriced. I also told them to lower their price to enticed new collectors. Otherwise, their reachout efforts is not going to be effective.
From the historical prices they have charged for their 1 oz silver medals, figure $50 apiece. Their surveys don't impress me, they have done several in the past but typically don't bother acting on the results.
