I have been spending rolls of 2009 N.A. dollars acquired directly from the mint. Today I noticed that some of the group of 10 stars on the edge lettering of one of the coins are unevenly spaced. Specifically, there are three stars on the unevenly spaced coin that fit into the space of two and a half normally spaced stars. Is this a common error?
Common and understandable if you're seen the machine that puts the edge lettering on, and not worth much unless it's on Ebay.
