Do you guys know of any good dealers of National Bank Notes I could find online. I am continuing my search for Eugene, OR notes and I wanted to see if I could track any down but I don't know where to look. I know of 2 currently for sale. Any suggestions?

They have nothing for you now, but their inventory changes daily. You might even be able to give them a want list.

I knew about their site...they have one of the 2 notes I know of for sale. Do you negotiate on price (in your experience)?

I treat purchasing notes from dealers almost like buying a car........most have room below "sticker" price.
Make an offer. They either accept or counter offer.

Be reasonable, but I agree - always make a decent offer but never pay full price without asking about wiggle room.

OK, good to know. The note he is selling is $392. It sold in 2008 for $460 and 2009 for $316. I was thinking about making an offer in the $330 range. Does that sound too low?

    I'm guessing he'll come back @ $350 or $360.......

He very well might...and I might take that. I need to see how much cash I can scrape up.

I contacted the seller and note was already sold...I'm totally bummed out.
