Narrowing down an unidentifiable(?) bearded LRB

Where are our LRB pros at?
I thought I would give myself a fun little adventure and picked up a 2 buck LRB in the last NBS sale. I had a good experience with them last time and find that there are pretty good deals from auction houses that are on their way up and new to the scene.
The only thing remarkable about the coin is that the emperor has a beard. Which is pretty rare for a LRB.
In their description, NSB said, "Barbaric issue probably Valens". Interesting guess, but Valens didn't have a beard.
I do believe it is too late to be a Julian II. So, what other bearded emperors are there?
Only rare ones come to mind.
Procopius? Though, I couldn't find a coin of his with the advancing Victory reverse and he is pretty rare.
Eugenius? Now I must be dreaming as he is VERY rare. Though, he does have a beard and the Victory advancing is his most common reverse.
And if it is barbarous, awesome! But why would they put a bearded face on a coin they were going to try to pass of as legit when there were so few bearded emperors?

Any thoughts, ideas or similar coins would be appreciated. And if you think it is just a barbarous imitative then please say that.

Thank you so much, Gandy. I'd completely forgotten about doublechineanus!

Naw, not Johannes Much too nice of a style on Victory to be one of his.

My vote is for Valens or Valentinian. Though tbh, I haven't done much research yet.

Quite a goiter. I wouldn't want to run into that gut in a dark ally:woot:.

I still think it looks like Julian II. My guess is it's either a babarous imitation or a fourrée core of this Siliqua type.

The only other explanation that I can think of is that the "beard" some sort of artifact from a die break.
