Hi. The obverse of this bronze coin doesn't look strange at all to me. But I don't think I can be sure of specifying the name of the Greek king or leader on it. It weighs 11.28 g. The reverse also looks like a common eagle. But still I always count on your comments to make the final adequate judgement. Thanks.. Charles Alex O.jpg Alex R.jpg

Not Macedonian but Ptolemaean. You can read the name in greek PTOLEMAIOY left of the eagle. Mainly because of the obverse portrait (with elephant scalp, which doesn't occur on Macedonian coins i believe) i have some doubts whether it is genuine though.

    C71.
I visited the site. My coin coincides with types of weight 11.4 g. It weighs as you know 11.28 g. which is OK. There are numberless series and types ,and even unlisted or unknown types and designs. The coin in my hand belongs probably to Ptolemy I or II. It could have been struck in Sidon or Tyre of my country. I am satisfied anyway. Thanks ..
