    Mysore, Tipu Sultan (AM 1215-27/1787-99), authenticated and graded by NGC as Mint State 64, gold pagoda, Khurshed-Sawad (Dharwar) 1217/7 (1788) (KM.99a; Fr.1356)


    I'd love to hear some thoughts on my latest acquisition.

    Welcome to Coin Talk.

    Don't know too much about this particular type or mint but Tipu is always quite collectable. An MS65 sold for about $1400 at auction in 2011 so I would say your coin is quite valuable. The strike of these coins is not as strong as the Moghul Mohurs but I would say they are less readily available. A good acquisition.
