Just noticed while I was examining some of my notes (specifically the 10's trying to look for the wide/narrow difference...thanks RickieB!), I noticed that some of my note holders have a yellow tint to them, however it's only on one side of the holder. Here's an example from my collection. The face of these notes is really pure white...not tinted like this image. Does anyone know what could cause this? Why would it only be one side of the holder? Could it be by design? I'm going to replace them all early next week. Any particular brands to look for or avoid? Thanks!
are you 100% positive they ARE Mylar??? if you are certain, then there could be a few possible reasons... having them sit in direct sunlight could cause issue. As would the application of heat. These are only guesses of course, as i have never ehard of any problems with Mylar holders. Yellowing like that is usually acetate or PVC. Oh - and you pic didnt show up. Do let us know what you find!
I have no idea what they are. I know I must have bought them at a coin shop. Strange thing is only one side is yellowed and they've never been anyw.here near sunlight. I see the pic now...do you?
no, the pic is not showing for me... the link in my browser works... weird lol let me post it.. see if it works...
I usually don't post image links directly to Picasa images...they can be flaky like that. Was too lazy to move the image though.
