i went to the bank to get some rolls to sort through for winter break. i got four rolls of pennies, four rolls of nickles, and one roll of dimes. im hoping i pull some good stuff. anything i should keep an eye out for?
Keep an eye out for the rarer coins, for pennies pre 58 and for nickels and dimes pre 64. By the way, there is a contest for Young Numismatist's. It is for a mercury dime( you have 1916D10C to thank for it ). You have to be under 17, I see that you are 15. I am 13. Don't miss out on the fun! Merry Christmas! https://www.cointalk.com/threads/yo...-1921-mercury-dime.329029/page-2#post-3271349
Unless you wish only to date/mint or composition search, investing your energies into learning how to properly identify varieties (or errors) would be a wise move if want to make the most of your efforts. Of course you'll blow through nine rolls in minutes unless you expand your horizons, meaning this isn't going to take up much of your break time.
i figured it wouldnt take much time, after im done im cashing them in at a different branch of the bank so i can get more
Spend some time during your break researching some errors you might like to find. Also, come up with a storage and sorting plan for the finds you want to keep.
