Have you ever checked the tracking of your mint package after it has been shipped? Pretty funny how our good 'ol govt. does things. Quite a journey for a package going to IN. :smile 3/10 ordered 3/15 shipped 3/15 Bolingbrook, DC 3/16-3/17 Palentine, IL 3/18-3/20 Cleveland, OH 3/20 San Luis Obispo, CA 3/20 Bronx, NY 3/20 Merrimack, NH 3/21 Valley Cottage, NY 3/22 ???????
I hope not. It is a birthyear proof ASE that I want to present to my 1st grandchild on the day she will be born next week.
Congrats
I hope not. It is a birthyear proof ASE that I want to present to my 1st grandchild on the day she will be born next week.
Maybe this would make a better 16th birthday gift? : )
I hope not. It is a birthyear proof ASE that I want to present to my 1st grandchild on the day she will be born next week.
Congratulations on your first grandchild! I hope everything goes fine with the birth. Hopefully, you'll get your coin in time!
Thanks everyone. Yes the coins arrived today and baby hasn't so all is well. The way I look at the tracking route is in a 10 day span it crossed through, over, or under Indiana 5 times before being delivered. I expected to see Liberty's head spinning and a bunch of travel stickers on the package when it arrived. All in all, not too bad for the mint, one week.
Now thats a well travled coin LOL hope it is a omen for the soon to be new young un that they too will be well travled in the future :thumb: Please pass on my Best Wishes to the Mom N Dad to be :hail: De Orc :thumb:
Thanks everyone. Yes the coins arrived today and baby hasn't so all is well.
Congratulations OC on both accounts. Those young ones are something special, aren't they? You may not want to blame the US. Mint as it is my belief that the shipping and handling is given out to a private contractor on a bid and what they do with your coins is anybodys guess.:kewl:
:high5: Congratulations on your Grandchild But one thing brothers me since your coins went across country a couple of times are they still uncirculated:rolling:
I don't know but if it had passed through IN one more time I'd probably had to pay sales tax on it. The return address was in TN. I think that's about the only state it didn't hit. I think I'll order something else just to see if it travels the same route.
The return address was in TN. I think that's about the only state it didn't hit.
That may be because the company that does the packaging and shipping of U.S. Mint products has their offices in Tenn. It could have very well have all started in Tenn and when from there. I know an outfit in Nevada also does packaging and handling for the mint and I have had them send items I've ordered from Denver mint all the way to California before returning it to Wyoming. A little out of the way, wouldn't you think?
