Thanks guys.....I kinda like them all. Hard to decide/ the Milan coin was a mystery/ it was unsold at MDC Monaco Auction. I had my eye on it/ but thought it would go way past estimate of 3000 Euros. Two lesser/quality examples sold for much more in Ars Numismatica Auction, this one was graded much higher. Same thing happened in Jesus Vico auction, when a EBC+ (EF+) Tremissis of Visigoth King Tulgan remained unsold/ I snapped up that gem too! The Philip II Stater went over estimate/ but I could not resist the urge....
What can one say about such beautiful coins. Even though I don't collect "moderns", there are some in this group I would love to have. Very nice assortment.
Wow, panzerdawg => all of those are amazing golden winners!! (congrats) ... ummm, but I was hoping that at least one of your new AR additions was gonna make it into your greatest hits?! cheers => I hope you have a great 2017
Thanks all! That Milan coin is going to be my "Christmas" present from my wife I would like to Wish everyone a Happy Christmas, and great coin additions in 2017 Also/ Steve we are at -12 celsius, snow on the way. I have not even got my snow mobile in for its Winter tune up But...at least my snowblowers are back, last snow fall I had to do 30 driveways with the snow shovel!
Stunning!!! I can learn to love all of them.....but I keep going back to look at that gorgeous stater from Macedon and Philip II .
Yep, I'm in love with the stater as well. Also your first coin is pretty awesome. A bunch of winners!
