Even though I have not been active in the hobby for years, I still make a point to check all of my return change. Take nothing for granted.

We have accumulated a large cookie tin of mixed coins here in a service based business. Having some time recently, I decided to start sorting through this to see if there were any finds. On top of the pile were 2 rolls of dimes and a roll of nickels. I set them off to the side for the time being.

Through my search and sorting, it was mostly statehood quarters with a smaller percentage of dimes, nickels and pennies. Nothing to write home about, right?

I did find this through $400+ loose change:

It may be difficult to get excited about finding 1 silver quarter in all of that sorting.

Remember, the 3 rolls that I set off to the side. Nickels had nothing special. One roll of dimes the same. 2nd roll of dimes, these roll out:

A full roll of Merc's ranging from '16-'45.
Who would have thought you come across something like this?

Good thing you decided to check through them as opposed to cashing them in!

Nice score! Be sure to take a look for a mint mark on that quarter: A 1932 D or 1932 S would be quite the find!
