This is a poem my son wrote. He was asked to write a poem about the person he loves the most. Guess I won. My wife is a bit annoyed, she keeps mentioning the giving birth thing. Hah, nope, I win this round. And to make sure I get the glory I deserve, this is a preteen, he's 12. Anyone that has ever had a kid this age can back me up on this, preteens are a MAJOR pain in the ... But I win anyway!!!

Nicely written. I think all married men hear the giving birth thing at least a hundred times.

Way cool poem by your son. And as to you being the favorite, it's probably due to him being a boy and his age. At some point in the future, your son may "love his mother best" again. Which is way cool, too --- when that happens! I don't know if my son loves me best or his dad (really), but he loves me and that's worth all the things in the world from him. Although sometimes I think he just knows which side his bread is buttered on, so he does me right, remembering my birthday, taking me to the movies several times a year, etc.
I get to boast that I have a son that loves me and he gets me off his case. Win-Win situation.
