Would you beleive my bank teller recently gave me this!!! A 1932-S Washington!! I tipped her $50 dollars for keeping this one aside for me, so all together this cost me $50.25!! What do you think this is worth and what do you suppose this would grade???? My guess is some kid cashed in his Dad's collection or something like that!!
AU Cleaned from the pictures, May not be but Better pictures would help. Still for 50 dollars you got one HELL of a deal!!
I know!! And yes my picture taking skills suck but still a record find for sure. It's to bad she didn't have a hundred more of these for me.
While sorta on the subject I was wondering if anyone else out there tips thier bank tellers when they put aside certain coins for you? After all they are going above and beyond what they are required to do, right?
i dontkow how to bring it up. if my tellers were interested all of them would be on this offer but i dont even know how to bring it up. anyone have any ideas
MAN! I can't see any signs of cleaning, but I could be wrong. Seems to be a very lustrous piece! Wow, nice grab! :thumb: Phoenix
My tellers are smarter than that. It doesn't work when I tell them, "I will give you $50 for a coin that any dealer would pay you $200 for."
I don't tell them to look for certain dates or anything like that. They just know I am interested in coins and will hold onto anything out of the ordinary for me. Usually it's just a handful of ike dollars or some wheats or a mercury dime or two. She didn't know what this coin's worth was obvisouly, as in her words "it's an old and shiny quarter." Maybe I shouldn't call it tipping but rather a finders fee. I bet you she starts holding onto alot more coins for me now!!
Hmm...yeah, it does look a bit cleaned, but I could be wrong..... Certainly low to medium uncirculated.
