    Its a New Penny from the UK.
    And someone drilled a hole in it.

    ok 1st off its not been drilled, and 2nd its silver.

    There's a hole in it...it's been drilled.
    It's most likely been plated.
    Probably was a jewelry piece on a necklace or something.

    Your coin is not rare, and it is damaged.

    On a positive note, you're images aren't bad. Straight on and in focus. Lighting could be better.

    I voted no because I don't know what size drill bit was used.

    But really, I agree that it was likely plated to be used on a charm bracelet or necklace.

    Pull the rug on us, eh dear lady? Nothing eventful here, but I'm not a collector of 'world' coins. My tendencies exhibit more 'yank'.

    The coin in your second image is without the copper plating. It sold for 3,500 pounds recently.
