well I got an e-mail saying as long as I send the items back, the seller will refund my money but I need to provide an online tracking ID. I am going to use USPS either way and need to know how I could get an online tracking ID?

It costs less than a dollar which is a great deal ! I had some issues with them too, and I just stopped doing
    business with them.

Good luck with Paypal. I have filed three disputes and returned the items with tracking numbers after jumping through hoops such as getting appraisals. I never received all of my money. I hate Paypal. Ebay markets Paypal as the safe way to go and promotes the service so that people are afraid to do business without it and the buyer protection is bogus while clipping sellers 3%. I no longer will accept it.

I dream of the day Google begins an auction format to compete with Ebay. Ebay use to be great, but now it is profit orientated and Paypal has even begun to suck after they were acquired by Ebay.

Google introduced an online payment service named gpay and shortly afterwards Ebay banned it claiming it to be unsafe and untested....only to retain traffic through Paypal, an Ebay company.

Can you imagine if Paypal was hacked? So many people would be exposed.

To purchase a tracking number at the post office your envelope must be a least 3/4" thick and must not be ridgid. If the envelope is less that 3/4" thick you must send it priority mail. My advice if sending it in a envelope is to include two pieces of cardboard. This way it will cost you $2.00 or so with tracking number compared to $5.25 priority with tracking number.

Another option would be to insure it with the USPS. Then signature confirmation and tracking (I believe) are
mandatory. You could just drive up the PO and ask the clerk for info. I did this with a 4-Coin AGE set I mailed
to Florida about a year ago. But package it very carefully and securely.

I agree, keep away from PayPal as much as possible. They have zero customer service and you only get
various first names when you call their lines. Hmmmm!!!?

I wont buy a coin on Ebay unless I use my AMEX thru Paypal. If there is a problem I simply call AMEX, dispute the charge under the Fair Credit Billing Act as Goods not delivered as promised.

Doesn't Paypal shut down people's accounts for doing that?

I have filed 1 chargeback on a seller a while back, I won the dispute and my $$$ was refunded. Paypal actually returned my money from a 100,000+ feedback powerseller, Ebay id: CollectionStop, view their feedback, WOW, 100+ negs a month. My wife bought 2 dvd's and did not do her feedback research. It took us a month, but we won.

Also, I ship 1st class parcel ( envelope over 1/4" / #000 bubble mailers) all the time thru Paypal, and yes, you must purchase signature confirmation OR insurance to get your self protected from buyers claiming no delivery. I will under no circumstances ship Paypal to a non verified buyer, I would return the money and relist before I did that. Have heard horror stories.

As a seller, Paypal is a pain, but it is easy, and I get so few non paying bidders with paypal compared to the money order / check crowd. If there was an alternative to both Ebay and Paypal, I would jump on it, but for now, thats all there is.

First, as mentioned PayPal will shut down your account for this.

And second, you may well not get the charges reversed. When you use PayPal, you are not paying for goods. You are paying for a service. They provided the service when they sent the cash to the seller's PayPal account. This disputing the charge with your credit card worked when the credit cards didn't know what PayPal was. Now they do and may tell you take a hike.

Sorry but I have don't it several times and never abused it. I just got an email saying please dispute it with Paypal first next itme. Amex will work as my rep and fight it out with paypal. Paypal "could" cancel your account but never have for me. As far as I know the FCBA is applicable here. I have never lost a dispute in this manner. Of course the 2 or 3 times I did it I was 100% right which also helps.

I won, got a full refund and the seller paid the shipping, and I officially emptied out my paypal account and will rarely if ever use ebay ever again!

I have never been let down by paypal. I did have an issue a while back, a buyer paid, I shipped the item the next day, then the day after I shipped he reversed the charges saying he never got the item. I called paypal, they seen what was going on, I got my money and he lost his account for the antics. I did have to provide tracking confirmation numbers etc.. but.. I NEVER ship without confirmation.

Dont sour to Ebay spider !!! It is a great place, AND you have a valuable experience under your belt. With some patience and knowledge, THE GOOD GUYS WIN in most situations. Use yer noggin, check feedbacks, think " Is this a better deal than it should be? ", and have a great time.

Heed the above advise: ALWAYS use tracking info , and Paypal is ALWAYS safer than moneyorders, the moneyorder company will NOT do anything to get your money back EVER.
