This my oldest Coin found Metal Detecting in 2002 at a virgin Cellar hole site . That day I found this 1753 and 1754 King George the 2nd 1/2 pence and a 1827 Large Cent . Plus a nice intact Shoe Buckle . What's your old find Metal Detecting or find just on the ground in general ? 1753 KG copper rev-tile.jpg

That's nice. They kept each other company all those decades they were buried together. The most I found together were 7 Wheat Cents in the same hole.

No King George or colonials found yet. I'm hoping to do so one day! But a Spanish Reale is what I really want to find!

You have to come to Connecticut before the sites are all off limits because of people who are inconsiderate and leave trash and don't fill in holes .
