Looks like there could be some interesting folles/AE2's. No tiny AE4's. It will be interesting to see how they clean up.
Yes, I can see some nice coins. Some are silvered so I need to take care with them. They are better sizes than a person usually can find. Thanks for the feedback.
"Being There", Peter Sellers... GREAT underrated movie and hilarious (as usual from this guy!) Not sure what that cap means, though.
I posted this information in a different discussion. It is in regards to my next batch to clean. Rather than doing it all over, I am posting a link to that posting. https://www.cointalk.com/posts/4871650/
My internet has been down for 2 days. Back up now and I have a few cleaned enough for posting. I will put them up this evening. Thanks for your interest.
Here is one I am just about finished with. I have before and after pics. I find it to be Constantine I, SOLI INVICTO COMITI, R and F across fields with Mint Mark R star ?. It could be P, S, T or Q. Some help would be appreciated. And, comments and corrections are very welcome.
Here is another one that I am working on. I haven't been able to even come close to identifying it. And, the Mint Mark appears to be R Q.
And another one. This is determined to be Constantine I RIC VII Siscia 7 with A or Delta in Right field. But, I think it should be RIC VI 231b however I can't find a photo of it. It did clean up very nice as did those others above.
Here is the latest effort. A Claudius Caesar. It is a very rough coin and I couldn't do much with it. Claudius Æ As. 26 mm - 6.12 g TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG PM TR P IMP P P, bare head left. Minerva advancing right, holding shield and brandishing a javelin, S-C across fields. Cohen 84; RIC I, 116, BMC 206. Before Cleaning After Cleaning
You make me wonder if some of the garbage uncleaned LRBs I have could actually be spiffed up. Perhaps I’m not good enough at cleaning.
