I picked this up at my local coin shop over the weekend. It has been a long time since he has had any US gold in stock, so I snatched this one up before anyone else could. Please feel free to critique and assign a grade if you so desire. Sorry, but as usual, my pics are blurry.
Based on the pics it's hard to pin it down, but some wear can be seen. I doubt a TPG would grade it because of the scratches, but it looks like it might go XF or AU detail wise.
Nice coin, but too bad about the scratches. Still, very nice. I hope that you got it for a good price. Frank
The pics are blury but from what I can tell I would say maybe AU..the scratch is a sure show stopper to having it graded by anyone. I love these coins and have been studying them for a while. I am planning on putting together a MS 61-62 set starting in 2007. Nice coin none the less... RickieB
