Here's a commemorative I just added to my collection. Commems are a low priority set but when things are going slow with my other sets, I try to get one close to CDN Bid. And as an OT, here's what's happening in Wash, DC at the moment. Predictions are that this will end up being the 6th or 7th worst in recorded history before it's all over tomorrow morning.
How could Commem's be a low priority when you obviously get such nice ones! Oh yea your a 2 cent collector right? I love those too so It's understandable. That's a nice Delaware.
That's a beautiful coin Kanga. As for the snow we are all waiting for the poop to hit the fan up here in Conn. This one sort of caught us all off guard. Of course the big ones always do.
Thanks. Low priority means I'm going to look for a LOT of other coins before I look at commems. But when I fork over the money it's going to be for a keeper. I don't like to upgrade later. Generally I can't get what I paid for the coin that was upgraded. And from what I've read, commems are a depressed category at the moment.
Kanga that is a nice coin. Another great buy, keep em' coming! (To the best of your wallet's ability, of course)
Beautiful half there Kanga. :thumb: Daughter in Severna Park said they are at about 10" of snow so far. Hey, it missed us in Michigan for once.
Thanks for the compliment. Before the light faded, the yardstick was showing 15-16", and the snow was still falling. Fun day tomorrow digging out. Last big one we had (18-20") it took me 3 days, one for the sidewalk, one for my car and one for the wife's car. The biggest problem was where to put the snow.
Well - I like the toning on the top picture, but the botton is too blast white(you can keep that stuff). Beautiful coin.
Nice commem. I have thought I might try collecting the art deco issues one of these days. As for snow, we got about 7 inches where I'm at in New Jersey. I am procrastinating on the snow blowing -- rather sit here and talk about commemoratives.
Snow depth topped out at 20" on my deck, but the neighbor said he measured 24". Windy conditions can account for differences like that. I got the sidewalk finished today. Then went in and took Ibuprofin (Advil) immediately. I intended to tackle the cars tomorrow. Then two VERY healthy teenagers came by and considering my aching back I quickly paid them to do the cars. I may be a little poorer now but I will feel MUCH better tomorrow.
