I got home from work yesterday, and there it was, in a box, leaning against my front door (available to anyone for the taking!) For the record: my order was at 12:09 ET the first day (if you go by the clock -- or 12:13 if you go by the USMint receipt). I expect most everyone else who ordered within that first 30 minutes or so should get theirs today or tomorrow. And now begins the flood of "LP2 -- In Hand!!" ads on ebay!
It could simply be the distance the coins have to travel . . . perhaps yours are just one day behind mine. And if FedEx, or the US Mail, is slow . . . blame them, not the Mint.
Wow, when I said the mint sucks, you won't believe what I said before that, THIS IS A FLIPPER'S NIGHTMARE... I'm not really even talking about shipping... I can take it out on FedEX and the Mint at the same time They reeled us in with the LP1's, and we all bought LP2's to flip, it was just bait, and the LP1's were flukes, to make them more money
mine coming on june 2 (tuesday). two groups of five sets were cancel. one group of five sets come on next tuesday and i will buy another group of five sets if needed on jun 1. that is together with clad proof set to save the shipping charge.
Got my three sets today! I did open one box and it had both rolls as Heads-Heads. If it was a bank roll I would have sold it or opened it. At least I know definitely what it is from the US Mint wrapper.
I'm seeing June 2 for my delivery date also. An entire week after the status changed to "shipped". Any updated sales figures on the LP2 pennies (released after May 20th)?
When I order mine the mint said that the set would be shipped out in July. But Tuesday the mint pulled the funds out of my account so I should be getting my in a few days, I HOPE.
OK . . . so, the Mint sucks because they sold out of LP1's so fast, and not everybody got a chance to get them. Now they suck because they learned their lesson and made more LP2's? Yes, I know it's a flippers nightmare. (I'm a flipper myself -- for the exact same reason you are: I take my profits so I can purchase the coins that I really want). But so is flipping houses, stock market shares, and anything else. Speculators like us have to live with the uncertainties that the field brings. That's why the root of the word is "speculate." If it would be a 100% sure thing -- the big guys would be writing software to purchase all the sets before you and I could even order (like they do with concern tickets -- in order to flip them). I hear your frustration . . . . I saw the Log Cabin/First day cancellation rolls going for $30 and $40 a pop for months. So I spent considerable energy trying to aquire the "Formative Years" and get them stamped to flip. The last three I sold averaged about $5 a roll for sale. That's life. Making money by speculating only works some of the time.
remember the shipping date and you got them will have a gap of around few days. because this is not ship through second day air. this is just ordinary mail. said 5 set cost $49.70. that is not over $300.00 that the mint will ship via second day air. mine is shipped on may 27 but estimate it will arrive on jun 2.
And it seems everytime I try, it works 0% of the time... LOL I'll be happy with $15 a set... I'm hoping for $25...
No -- that's the other part of the "flippers nightmare". Last time, they sold out before anyone received any. So now -- you need to be among first one to get it, and advertise "in hand, ready to ship immediately" -- or you need to hold onto them, wait till they sell out, and _then_ sell them, at which point the market might be flooded. Gee -- this'd be easy if I could only forsee the future
