Congrats on your pick up! It looks great!

Actually the US Mint does mint and sell these, so theoretically you are getting them from the Mint, just via the bullion dealer network and retailer middlemen channels. Unfortunately, the Mint are not minting the collectible: proof-W fractional AGEs, Proof-W nor burnished-W 1 oz. AGEs for collectors that used to be sold directly from the Mint to the public.

Very nice! I had a 2006 MS69 but I sold it! Now I'll probly get me another as soon as funds allow me! Great looking AGE!! :D

I still have a raw 2001, but I must admit there's something about having a graded one!! :thumb:

Didn't know these were still being made? Did they make a $5 in 2009?

Hi Krispy, I know that, just kind of sucks as we have to get from outside source, when the US MINT makes these coins and
we got to buy from dealers and not the Mint.Anyone have 5 million(jk) so I can setup a account to get from US MINT. Or is it more then 5 mill.
oh well maybe soon they will have the blanks to start selling to public once again.

Yes, the unc (no mintmark) fractional AGEs were released in 2009

    2009 AGE Mintages were (approx):
    1 oz. 1,493,000
    .5 oz. 110,000
    .25 oz. 110,000
    .10 oz. 270,000

APMEX (.10 oz. AGE), MCM, Mint Products and other dealers still sell them, mostly graded now.
