I have Boston Bruins season tickets and I traded a pair of tickets (that cost me $80) for this little gem a 2003 Australia 1/10 oz gold Year of The Goat. Not the best pictures, but you get the picture.
I am as well. Since gold has dropped I have purchased 4 small gold coins. I wanted to diversify my collection as it is mostly silver so it feels good to have some gold. I think I may buy one more for the time being to feed my gold fever while i think its at a good price.
:too-funny: Annoying thing is I want one of them:headbang:... It would be so cool to show non-collectors!
I can't imagine it gets much smaller than that and can still be considered a coin. :smile The smallest of mine it a 1982 British Virgin Islands $25 piece.
As of now I have a gold 1/10 Fanam (on a par with the Bele) I have 2 inbound at moment a full Fanam (about .4g) but my prize is also on it's way, a real nice 2007 1.2g Ireland celtic culture 20 euro going nuts waiting on them to arrive
The Bele is .75 grains. People who used them held them in their mouths, because the inside of your mouth is one of the most sensitive parts of your skin - they were much harder to lose that way. (Sorry Rocky, didn't mean to hijack your thread.)
Yes good deal for both. Apparently he bought the coin for $50 ten years ago and traded it for ticket worth well over face value online. As for me getting gold for well less than it is worth I am thrilled.
