Picked this up at the local watering hole yesterday. The scans don't help all that much with the coin, but it's atleast a VF-25, maybe a chance at VF-30. The reverse wings got all mushy with the scan likewise with the obverse hair. I think I know what the Overton number is on this one, but please give me your insight. I'll post what I think it is after some guesses. Oh, here's a hint, I don't think Bone has this variety yet (that eliminates O-102 and O-119). Later
I had the Overton at O-117 (R2) since I see doubling on the "5" of "50 C.". Also, the "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in the scroll seems to line up with everything above it.
I like it! It's a very nice and crusty piece. I have no problem with it as a VF-25. I don't have an Overton book nearby, so I can't help there, as I unfortunately do not know my Overton's from memory....lol.
Nice VF coin, and very nice crust factor! :thumb: I'm not an Overton guy, so I'll leave that to the experts. Have fun & thanks for sharing..Mike
