Nice. Although you'd be much better off with one or two pictures that showed the coin better, rather than the multi angle poses. Shoot two of it straight up--that coin is gorgeous and doesn't need to be posed. :)

Don't let Todd (BluCC) see that coin. He would probably move heaven and earth to add it to his DMPL collection.

Great coin! But yes more upright photos would be nice.

I'm looking at a dmpl ms62 for $100. Most of my Morgan's are 64/65s. Any thought on buying ms62 morgans. I know some of the ms grades aren't attractive.

You can't go wrong with any nice looking DMPL. They are the "cream of the crop" in terms of Morgan eye appeal. I think that even the common date DMPLs are a steal, and will go up in the future, as everybody wants a beautiful looking Morgan who collects them. That CC DMPL is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

I'd say that there are some attractive MS 62 Morgans, especially toners, if you like them (I do, obviously). DMPLs are usually attractive, regardless of grade--in fact the MAJORITY of DMPLS seem to be either 63s or 64s. I'd say it is a question of how much bag chatter you are willing to tolerate, and how much luster, eye appeal the coin has. Usually there are two things that 62 Morgans exhibit---lots of cheeky bag marks, and in many cases, poor strikes.

This is just my opinion, but you may not be happy with a DMPL in MS62. There are just too many bag marks, nicks and dings on a 62, and it can take away from the mirrored effect of the DMPL.

It has been brought to his attention in the past. He doesn't care what others think.

I agree, unless the 62 grade was earned with a really poor strike. I have posted my 1884o DMPL, which is a 63. It has nice clean fields, but was 63ed for a really crappy strike. That would be the exception to the rule that you put forth. Yes, most 62 Morgans are quite baggy, and even 63s are.

Great looking DMPL! I love those old Morgans, when I bought my GSA the seller had a couple of DMPL's but he was asking way too much money for his. :thumb:
