My new Buffalo

I don't collect Buffalo nickels per se - but this one was too good to pass up. It will make a nice addition to my 7070 album.
(It has some real nice toning that the photo does not fully capture.)

It was listed as MS-63- (unslabbed)- which seems right looking at the coin - but I am not an expert on buffalo nickels (even though I live in Buffalo! )

Lol, I am no expert on buffalo's, one of the hardest coins for me to grade to be honest. But, it looks like there is wear in the hair, I don't see any luster there, but I could be wrong. Still, a pretty sweet coin. :thumb: Remember, my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Its got a good look though.

 

They are very hard to grade. (maybe one of the reasons I do not collect them in quantity) I have seen ms-65 in slabs that looked worn to me. The design does not have the crisp lines like a Morgan dollar does ( i.e. in the hair).

 

Real nice. Good for you. Gotta love those good looking buffalos

 

Some of those buffaloes get a tone that only buffaloes can get. Nice stuff.
