I picked this Roman coin up at the Indiana ISNA coin show from my trusted ancient dealer last week.

    Roman
    Diva Faustina Senior
    Rome 143 AD
    S4576
    Silver Denarius

    Aeternitas holding globe and septre

It sure will not win any awards but lots of detail to study and admire.

I love the amount of detail they crammed on these.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

Nice! I love coins of Faustina I. Here's my example of that coin, with the obverse inscription broken in a different place than yours (which matters only to the curator of the British Museum* and to specialists). It also comes in a variety with a veiled bust.

    Faustina Sr AETERNITAS Providentia denarius.jpg
    Faustina I, AD 138-141.
    Roman AR denarius, 3.26 g, 18.4 mm, 5 h.
    Rome, AD 147-161.
Obv: DIVA FAV STINA, bare-headed and draped bust, right.
Rev: AETERNITAS, Providentia standing left, holding globe and grasping veil which billows behind her.
    Refs: RIC 351; BMCRE 375; Cohen/RSC 32; RCV 4578; CRE 121.

*Here's the listing in BMCRE 4:

I am happy to see a post of a coin with the words too rarely seen here: "my trusted ancient dealer" rather than one asking what the chances are that it might be real.
Exactly! May you be happy together.
