Not as spectacular as some of the other notes posted here lately, but I like them and got them at decent prices bargain hunting on eBay. First, a couple of Black Eagles...always wanted one of these and came across both of these for a decent price (I hope...not really up on large note values). Last 1928 series $2 I needed. Would have liked one in slightly nicer condition, but managed to grab this one for less than 10 bucks. I think I probably still need a 53C and 63A, but not really motivated to go out and find them...well, maybe I will be now. A 1934 $5 FRN. Didn't really need this one, but price was right and I liked the serial number even though it's really nothing fancy. A 1953 $10 Silver Certificate. Didn't have one and got this one for free from another collector...a really nice collector. A 1934 $20 FRN Star note. Didn't have any solid green stars and I sort of liked the looks of this one.
dursin.... Great notes!! I love them all...the Black Eagles are so cool..... The vivid green seal notes are some of my fav small size and the 28 thru 34 stars are so much better than today! Great pickups and I appreciate you posting these fro all of us to share! :thumb:  Oh the stories these notes could tell???? :kewl: RickieB
Very nice finds there dursin! Great notes i do like the black eagles and the silver certs, and the stars... oh yeah, and the light green .... wait... isnt that all of them
it snuck in and hid between the others?? Its a sto-away i tell you... toss it overboard... better yet -- i shall take it in for questioning.. just send it on over merely a slight over looking on my part
dursin, very nice additions. I really like the black eagle notes. You should check the reverse of that 1928 2 dollar note. Some notes are missing the reverse plate number for the 1928 series. Lou
Thanks. The Black Eagles were a decent deal...like $125 for the pair. I checked the reverse of the $2...it's tiny, but the back plate number (92) is there.
